PRIOR TO TEXAS STATE
Finished 22nd at the 2019 Conference USA Cross Country  Championships...had a third-place finish at the UTA Invitational with a time of 18:24.6...Competed in the NCAA South Central Regional Cross Country Championships...won the 3,000-meter run at the Texas A&M Ted Nelson Invitational during 2020 Indoor Track campaign...was on the distance medley relay team that finished seventh at the 2019 Conference USA Indoor Championships...finished third in the mile at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational...placed ninth in the 1,500 meters at the 2019 C-USA Outdoor Championships with a season-best time of 4:46.30...was the silver medalist in the 1500 meters at the North Texas Classic.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduate of Washington High School...was a three-time All-State selection in cross country and state champion in track and field...was the silver medalist at the 2018 State Cross Country Championships...was the state champion in the 1,600 meters and runner up in the 800 meters and 3200 meters at the 2018 State Track and Field Championships...was the state runner-up in the 1,600 meters at the 2015 State Track and Field Championships...member of the 2015 state semifinalist basketball team...scored 153 points as a varsity placekicker and a member of the 2017 state runner-up football team...was a defender on the soccer team...member of the National Honor Society.
 
PERSONAL
Born Dec. 26...daughter of Robin and Jerry Schmidt...her father is his third year as the head strength and conditioning coach for Texas A&M’s football team after serving in a similar capacity at  Oklahoma (1999-2017), and serving on the staffs at Florida (1995-98), Notre Dame (1987, 1989-94) and Oklahoma State (1988)...her mother is a former Division I strength and conditioning coach and participates in 50K runs, triathlons, and other endurance events...her brother, Sam, is a men’s golfer at Southern Nazarene University...major is recreational therapy.
