Hit .269 in 26 at-bats with a pair of doubles and a home run in 29 total appearances … Made three starts on the year … Posted an OPS of .868 with six walks … Biggest game of the year came in game two of a DH at Appalachian State on April 30, when she started and went 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, a double, and a home run … Added a pinch-hit RBI single against nationally-ranked UL Lafayette in the Sun Belt tournament, which brought her season average above the .300 line.

Prior to Texas State (Paris Junior College)
Competed at Paris Junior College for one season … Finished the season hitting .348 while recording a .543 slugging percentage … Earned first team all-conference and second team all-region recognitions … Tallied 22 RBI throughout the season … Against Bossier Parish, Cruz went 3-for-3 from the plate with a home run, double, single and five RBI … Was a member of the Student Government Association and was a recipient of the Who’s Who Award … Named to the President’s List from 2013-2015.

The daughter of Lisa and Michael Cruz … Has two siblings, Austin and Dalton … Chose to attend Texas State because of she has always been in love with San Marcos, knows several girls who have played here and knew that playing in this program was where she belonged … Was a student council officer, class officer and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes … Her favorite hobbies include crafting, playing and watching football and babysitting …Hhas volunteered at the Austin Child Guidance Center, Family Promise, Autumn Grove, Atascocita Presbyterian Church, Mutts and Meows and Social Action.
