2012 Outdoor: Placed second in the discus throw at the Southland Conference Championships with a 55.72m (182-10) … competed in the SLC for shot put and the hammer throw … had a season-best throw of 54.65m (179-03) in the hammer throw … recorded a season-best in the shot put with a 17.35 (56-11.25) … took gold at the Texas State Invitation in the discus throw (51.57m (169-02)) … posted a season-best distance in the discus throw with a 55.72m (182-10). 

2012 Indoor: Was a scorer for the Bobcats in both the shot put and weight throw at the SLC Championships … had a season-best throw at conference in the shot put with 16.45 meters (53-11.75) to place fifth … finished fourth at conference with a personal-best performance of 17.59 meters (57-08.50) … took home two top-five finishes at the Texas Tech Open.   

Ellison HS: Competed for coach Ricky Coulson at Ellison … was a regional qualifier his junior and senior years … named Thrower of the Year his last three years of high school … given the honor of Team MVP his senior year … personal-best in the discus is 54.33 meters (178-03) and 17.35 meters (56-11) in the shot put.

Personal: Born July 30, 1993 in Temple, Texas, to Earick and Latricia Brown … has four siblings: Carrine, Josh, Brianna and Grace … majoring in athletic training.
