2012 Indoor: Set a school record in the 3000 meters at the Tyson Invitational with a time of 9:54.70 to finish eighth … finished seventh in the 5000 meters at the SLC Championships with 17:49.51 … took eighth at the conference meet in the 3000 meters with 10:11.39. 

2011: Placed seventh in the 3,000-meter run at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 10:07.97 … finished eighth at the SLC Indoors in the 5,000-meter, clocking 17:52.20 … ran 39:46.29 at the SLC Outdoors to finish eighth in the 10,000 meters … won the 5,000-meter run at the Trinity Invite with a time of 18:38.96 during the outdoor season.

2010: Had a time of 10:25.71 in the 3,000 meters at Texas A&M Invite … placed 14th in the 5,000 meters at the SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 18:53.94 … season-best of 11:40.52 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Michael Johnson Classic … placed 13th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the SLC Outdoor Championships clocking 11:56.12 … season-best time of 4:50.20 in the 1,500-meter at the Victor Lopez Classic.

2009: Opened the season at the Leonard Hilton Invite recording a time of 5:34.94 in the mile run ... at the UH Invite had a time of 5:33.90 ... posted a season-best time of 5:24.38 in the mile at the Texas A&M Invitational.

2008: Redshirt season.

New Braunfels HS: Was a four-year letterwinner at New Braunfels HS ... qualified for state in 2004-05 ... was a cross country regional qualifier all four years of high school ... was the 2006 District 26-4A champion in the 3,200 meters and a 2006 regional finalist in the 3,200 meters finishing third.

Personal: Born on April 22, 1989 to Kelley and Julie Armstrong ... has two older brothers, Danny and Michael ... major is exercise and sport science with a minor in family and consumer science.
