High School: Selected to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s All-District 7-5A’s First Team at cornerback ... had 39 tackles, two interceptions and 13 pass break ups as a senior ... also forced a fumble and recovered another ... South Grand Prairie posted a 10-2 record in 2006, advancing to the second round of the Class 5A playoffs ... high school coach was David Fisher.

Personal: Born February 2, 1989 ... son of Arville Lopez and Cynthia Loftis ... industrial engineering major … began his collegiate career as a member of Texas State’s track and field team.
