2004: In her second season as a staple in the Bobcat lineup, Nwoke appeared in all 33 matches and 116 games for Texas State ... Led the team with 461 kills, 3.97 kills per game and 1167 attempts ... Ranked fourth in the SLC with 3.97 kills per game ... Named to the All-SLC Second Team ... Had a career-best 31 kills October 13 at UT-Arlington ... Had 20 or more kills in eight matches, 15 or more in 14 matches ... Had the team[apos]s fifth best attack percentage at .228 ... Was fifth on the team in blocks with 55. 2003: Nwoke led the team in kills (403), kills per game (3.88), and total attempts (1,046) ... Was fourth in the Southland Conference in kills ... Set a career-high in kills with 22 against Southeastern Louisiana (10/25) ... Record at least 14 kills in 15 matches ... Had 115 digs on the year, including a career-best 13 versus UTSA (10/25) ... Ranked seventh in the SLC in points per game at 4.17 ... Was sixth on the team in hit percentage (.209), with a season-best average of .351 against Northwestern State (9/26) ... Memorial HS: Nwoke was a multi-sport athlete in high school, earning honors in both basketball and volleyball at Memorial High School in Houston . . . She was named to the All-District team in volleyball, broke the school record for most solo blocks and led MHS to two Bi-District championships and two Area final appearances . . . In addition, she was named to the All-District team in 2001 and was named as one of the top blockers in the city of Houston . . . As a basketball player, Nwoke was named to the All-District team three times and also was selected to the Academic All-State Team . . . She led her team in rebounds and was the runner-up for the Don Coleman Coliseum Award . . . Played for the Westside 18 Travel Volleyball Club. Personal: Nwoke was born on Aug. 20, 1982, in Chicago, Ill., and is a biology/pre-med major ... She is the daughter of Dr. A.K. and Joy Nwoke and has a brother, John, a graduate of Texas A&M.
