SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State is proud to introduce Boko's Backyard, the ultimate game day destination for every Texas State fan! Whether you want to host your own private tailgate by reserving a space in advance through Texas State or our official tailgate tent provider or simply show up and join the fun in our community tailgate, we've got an option for everyone.

Boko's Backyard, located across from UFCU Stadium on the campus recreation grass fields, will feature a variety of food trucks with exciting menu options and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase, live entertainment, special guest appearances, game day shows, the Bobcat football team Cat Walk, kids' activities, picnic tables and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow Bobcats before kickoff.

Bring your own crew for a personalized tailgate experience or be part of one big Bobcat celebration. Either way, Boko's Backyard is where game day comes alive.

"Boko's Backyard is all about creating a place where Bobcat fans can come together and celebrate Texas State," said TXST Athletics Director Don Coryell. "We want game day to begin long before kickoff, and Boko's Backyard gives our fans a home to make memories, connect with one another and show their Bobcat pride."

Boko's Backyard will open six hours prior to kickoff for most games throughout the season, giving fans plenty of time to enjoy the pregame festivities. Centralized music and entertainment will add to the atmosphere throughout the tailgate area, while fans looking for a more personalized experience can reserve their own tailgate space through the TXST Athletics ticketing platform, with tents and turnkey tailgate packages also available through the university's official tailgate partner, Hill Country Event Rentals.

For those looking to stock the cooler. Texas State Hospitality also offers beer and wine packages to complete your tailgate experience through campus partner Aramark, with TABC-certified beverage attendants available to provide professional service throughout your tailgate. Choose from a variety of curated Tailgate Menu Packages designed for easy game day entertaining or build your own spread with a selection of à la carte favorites.

Fans who do choose to bring their own equipment must reserve a tailgate space in advance, with all spaces required to be reserved by Thursday of game week. To make setup as easy as possible, fans are encouraged to take advantage of the day-before setup opportunity.

Boko's Backyard is designed to provide an energetic, welcoming environment where Bobcats of all ages can enjoy the excitement of game day.
