TXST Student-Athletes Shine in Latest NCAA APR Report

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released it's 2024-25 Academic Progress Rate (APR) Institutional Reports this week, which continue to highlight Texas State's athletics programs and their exceptional work in the classroom.
 
The department boasted a 993 score out of a possible 1,000 in the single-year score on the 2024-25 APR Report, which contains data including eligibility and graduation numbers as well as retention requirements for each program.
 
Within that single-year number, ten programs posted a perfect score including baseball,  men's cross country, men's golf, women's golf, women's basketball, women's cross country, softball, women's tennis, women's track & field and volleyball.
 
In the multiyear report, which includes the 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, women's golf and volleyball produced perfect multiyear scores.
 
"Our student-athletes continue to set the standard in the classroom, and that accomplishment speaks volumes about their focus and work ethic," said Director of Athletics Don Coryell. "We're proud of the commitment they continue to show in pursuing excellence both academically and competitively.
 
"I also want to acknowledge the coaches, along with our academic, compliance and support staffs, whose efforts play a vital role in that success. Their commitment to our student-athletes is second to none."
