SAN MARCOS, Texas – Emma Strood tossed her first career no hitter on Wednesday night against St. Francis in the Bobcats 7-0 win over the Red Flash.
Strood is the lone active Bobcat with a no hitter to her name, the first Bobcat to pitch one since

The Bobcat bats were effective too, with 12 hits including four RBI doubles and a 3-3 day at the plate for
Kate Bubela.
How it Happened:Â
Emma Strood started in the circle, tossing the complete game to get her first career no hitter. She started off the night with her first of 12 strikeouts on the second batter she faced.  She added another to her tally in the 2

Texas State got its scoring started in the 2
nd inning, starting with a Bubela single. She stole second and went on to score on
Harley Vestal's double up the middle.
Strood tallied two more strikeouts in the third inning on seven pitches. She added two more in the fourth as well, also on seven pitches.
Texas State tallied four runs in the bottom of the 4

Sami Hood's double.Â
Keely Williams kept it going with a single to score Hood, then she scored on on

Texas State added its final two runs in the fifth, starting with Bubela's double. She'd get pinch run for by
