Game Recap: Bobcats Fall at San Diego State

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Texas State football fell to San Diego State on the road, 31-29, to open its inaugural season in the Pac-12 Conference. With the loss, TXST falls to 2-3 (0-1) on the season, while San Diego State improves to 2-3 (1-0).

Brad Jackson passed for 372 yards, finding 11 different targets, and three touchdowns and also led Bobcat rushers with 80 yards off 22 carries. Jackson's TD passes went to three different receivers in Beau Sparks, Davian Jackson and Ty Stamey, who caught the first of his career. Davian Jackson now has a TD in each of TXST's five games this season, including three straight with a receiving TD.

The Bobcats put up 565 yards of total offense off 102 plays, an FBS record for the program. TXST's previous high was 100 in the 2023 match-up with ULM. The Bobcats have now registered 500+ in each of the last three games.

Defensively, Jayden Bradley had a team-high eight tackles, while Ayden Jones added seven and a TFL.
