Texas State started off the match with some back and forth with the Beavers, but ultimately a run at the end of the set was the difference maker. After going down 21-18, Texas State took a timeout to regroup and battled back on a 7-1 run to win the set.
Maggie Walsh served up a set point ace to seal the comeback in the opening set and get the Bobcats started on the right foot. MJ McCurdy led set one with five kills while the Bobcat defense showed out with 16 digs and three blocks.
In set two, the score tied at 1-1 and 2-2, but after that the Bobcats rolled through the set to a 25-18 win. The defense again showed out in set two with 18 digs and 3 blocks.
Ryann Torres, who would go on to a double-double on the night (36 assists, 12 digs) had six digs in the second set alone to help the Bobcats get the set win. Texas State held the Beavers to just a .108 attack percentage in set two while swinging .314 themselves.
Walsh started set three off with an ace for the Bobcats as she went on to three kills in set three to bring her to 10 on the night. MJ McCurdy added four more kills in the third set as well. Texas State took the lead in set three early on and didn't let it up, never allowing Oregon State within two points after the beginning of the set. Texas State went on to win set three 25-20 and get their first sweep of the season.
Texas State will continue Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7 pm (HT) versus Hawaii in its final game in the Aloha State.

Texas State will play its final match in Hawaii on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7 pm (HT) / Sept. 15 at 12 am (CT). After that, the team will continue on the road for a tournament at UTEP beginning on Sept. 20 at 4 pm versus Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. The Bobcats will not return home until Oct. 4 vs Troy as part of Show 'Em State Weekend.
