Head Coach GJ Kinne

On the team's performance against a Big 12 opponent...
I thought the guys came out and played hard and executed very well at times… It's not offense, defense, special teams, coaches. It's collective as a group. So we'll do a better job coaching next time and get those guys the win.

On the defensive performance...
They played really well, and it's unfortunate we couldn't win that one for those guys. They played really well and we put them in some tough situations, and they responded almost every time.

On making sure that loss doesn't halt the season momentum...
Yeah we got it, we have a ton of time and we have a long break before the next one, so we will get in there and go to work. We have a bunch of really good leaders, and a bunch of really good coaches. We will come together, we'll watch the film and get in the training room and recover. Getting ready for the next one.

The message heading into an open week...
I think we just have to get healthy, get the bumps and bruises cleaned up. And we're playing really good football right now. We really are, so there won't be a ton to clean up.

On the ESPN primetime game...
I think it's awesome, I hate it for the kids that we weren't able to get that win, but I think we performed well. I think we earned a lot of respect around the country tonight.
