SAM MARCOS, Texas – Texas State athletics and Texas State football are excited to welcome fans to UFCU Stadium for the 2024 Home Opener and Bowl Championship Celebration Saturday, August 31 with kick off against Lamar University slated for 7 p.m. CT. The celebration will launch a slate of seven home games this season.

TXST is implementing a variety of operational changes in 2024 including a clear bag policy, mobile app entry for students, the ability to bring one (1) factory sealed water bottle into the venue and more.

With expected increases in crowd size throughout the 2024 season, fans are encouraged to make a plan before coming to UFCU Stadium including arriving early, downloading digital tickets and passes prior to game day, predetermining travel paths to the stadium and seeking answers to questions before you go. Parking and Tailgating for the season will largely remain the same with limited changes only happening for mid-week games on September 12 and October 29. We are excited to welcome the Alumni Association tailgate in 2024 as well as continue to host fraternities, sororities and other registered student organizations in Tailgate Central. Bobcat Concessions is offering several new in-venue experiences providing for quicker ways to purchase all your gameday favorites. Cats' Corner, opening at the south end of the concourse behind section 101, includes a self-service concession station and is grab-and-go for fans 21 and over. Additionally, favorite vendors from previous seasons including Pizza Hut, Chick-fil-A and AJ's Ranch Road Grill will be joined by new selections in 2024 such as Yapa Artisan Empanadas, with the full lineup available at Gameday Central.

Peer-to-peer, in-seat food and beverage delivery option Stadium Drop is also new this season. Fans will be able to order from their seat for delivery to skip the lines and not miss a minute of the action. Download the app on your device today.

Coming off a historic 2023 campaign, Texas State is favored to win the Sun Belt Conference's West Division, while eight student-athletes were selected as preseason all-conference honorees by the league and seven student-athletes have earned 11 national watch list nods to date.
