NEW ORLEANS – The November games of the MAC-SBC Challenge were announced by the Sun Belt Conference office on Thursday. Both Texas State men's and women's basketball will face Eastern Michigan on Nov. 4 with the men playing inside Strahan Arena while the women travel to Vpsilanti, Michigan.
 
Both the men's and women's meetings with Eastern Michigan will be the respective program's first meetings in program history.

Last season, the Eagle women finished the 2023-24 season with a 7-22 overall with a 3-15 record in the Mid-American Conference. They played Georgia Southern and South Alabama in the 2023-24 MAC-SBC Challenge, losing 58-82 to the Eagles and beating the Jaguars 81-69.
 
In 2023-24, the Eagle men finished the season with a 13-18 overall with a 6-12 record in the Mid-American Conference. They played Georgia Southern and ULM in the 2023-24 MAC-SBC Challenge, beating the Eagles 70-60 and losing 76-82 to ULM.

Each MAC and Sun Belt team included in the MAC-SBC Challenge, which is about to enter its second season after its inaugural season in 2023-24. The 2024-25 campaign guarantees one home and one away game. Every game will also be carried on an ESPN platform.
