Baskets by Love and Sykes opened the game's scoring but Donovan Gregory made back-to-back shots to tie the game. Turner followed with consecutive layups to again put the Bobcats ahead by four just over four minutes into the game.
Â
The Mountaineers Took their first lead of the game on a Tre'Von Spillers' layup at the 12:43 mark and would take their largest advantage at 14-12 following a CJ Huntley three-pointer.
Â
An 11-0 run by TXST followed over the next 6:03 for the team's largest lead of the game. However, the lead would shrink to 29-26 heading into halftime as the visitors scored 12 of the final 18 points of the period.

Â
The Bobcats would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game but did see the Mountaineers get within two points thrice with the last time coming with 51 ticks remaining. The ensuing possession saw Mason get his shot blocked out of bounds but on the ensuing in-bound play,
