Volleyball Selected to Dallas Regional

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State volleyball was selected to an NCAA Regional on Sunday night. The team will face Missouri in the first round of the Dallas Regional. The first-round match is set for Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. (CT).

Texas State will play Missouri in the first round, the winner will play the winner of SMU and Wichita State on Dec. 6.
 
This is the 14th time in program history that the Bobcats have made the NCAA tournament and the first time in program history the Bobcats have been selected to the Dallas Regional. This is head coach Sean Huiet's third NCAA tournament appearance in his five-year tenure as head coach.

The Bobcats last appearance in the NCAA tournament was in the 2023 Austin Regional where they lost to this year's hosts SMU. 
 
Texas State has an 0-2 record all-time against Missouri, but the two teams have not faced off since August 28, 2009. Texas State has an 0-4 record all-time against Wichita State and a 4-6 record all-time against SMU.
 
Texas State was the lone qualifier from the Sun Belt Conference this season. Texas State was the conference's automatic qualifier after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament after three-straight sweeps during their tournament run.
