SAN MARCOS, Texas – In a preemptive move due to anticipated high temperatures, Texas State football's 2023 home opener on Sept. 16 will be moved to a 7:30 pm kickoff, the athletics department announced on Wednesday.
 
The Bobcats will take on Jackson State at Bobcat Stadium in the first home game of the GJ Kinne era. Tickets are on sale now at TXST.com/tickets and start as low as $15.
 
Season tickets and half-season tickets with many affordable options are also available.
 
Texas State opens the season on Sept. 2 at Baylor (6 pm, ESPN+).
