Tennis Falls to No. 1 Old Dominion in Conference Championship Quarterfinals

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – No. 9 Texas State fell 4-0 to No. 1 Old Dominion in their quarterfinals match at the Peachtree Tennis Center on Friday. 
 
Due to weather the match was moved to the indoor facility and started with singles. 
 
No. 33 nationally ranked Old Dominion made their first appearance in the tournament after earning a bye into the quarterfinals as the top seed. 
 
Singles
Texas State (8-16, 3-8 Sun Belt) lost the first set in all singles matches.  
 
Mae McCutcheon recorded the first singles loss of the day on line six when Allison Isaacs won the match 6-3, 6-1. Kate Malazonia ended her collegiate career with a 2-6, 2-6 loss to Shahar Biran. 
 
Emily Niers lost 6-3, 6-3 on court two. Old Dominion (16-4, 10-0 Sun Belt) clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win from Alexandra Viktorovich over Sofia Fortuno
 
Kiana Graham was the only Bobcat to take her match to three sets on the top court against No. 35 nationally ranked and Sun Belt Women's Tennis Player of the Year Tatsiana Sasnouskaya. Graham was down 2-6, 6-3, 0-1 when the match was abandoned.
