SAN ANTONIO – Texas State tennis (1-2) came up short in their 4-3 loss at UIW (1-2) that came down to the last matches on Saturday.
Emily Niers and
Mae McCutcheon picked up their first singles win of the season, as well as doubles pair
Kate Malazonia and McCutcheon.Â
Â
"Tough loss for us today," said tennis head coach
Kendall Brooks. "Unfortunately, we had some opportunities in doubles that we did not capitalize on and what would have been the difference. We battled hard in singles but could not come up with four wins. We have yet to all play well on the same day, and when we do, we will be tough to beat. Hats off to UIW for stepping up and taking the win."Â
