The Bobcats are coming off a nine-point loss on Wednesday to South Alabama. The result, along with other results on the night, guarantees that TXST will be the 11 seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament and will face either Arkansas State or Georgia State in the first round.
Brandon Love led Texas State on the evening with a career night of 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting and making 4-of-5 at the free throw line. The sophomore also recorded three blocks and steals.
Harrell increased his career point total to 1,480 with his 11 points against the Jaguars. He is within 89 points of matching Brandon Bush for fifth place in program history. The Midwest City, Oklahoma native leads the team scoring (16.0), made field goals (144), made three-pointers (38), made free throws (105), free throw percentage (86.8), assists (63) and steals (26).
Both Ceaser and
Tyrel Morgan are putting up at least nine points a contest at 9.5 and 9.0, respectively. They are both first and second on the second in rebounding with Ceaser grabbing 6.4 rpg and Morgan right behind him at 6.2 rpg.
Nate Martin enters scoring 7.5 ppg and ranks second with a 50.0 field goal percentage behind Ceaser's 51.0% mark.

Coming into Friday's contest, the Golden Eagles can claim at least a share of the Sun Belt regular season title with a win and would win it outright with a victory and Marshall loss. USM has dropped two of their last three games after falling 69-64 at Old Dominion Wednesday night. On the road, the Golden Eagles are 9-6 with a 7-6 mark in true road games and are 4-4 in conference action.
Austin Crowley enters leading the team in points (16.4), made field goals (170), made three-pointers (62) and steals (60). He is shooting 46.8% from the field, 35.8% on three-pointers and 74.0% at the charity stripe while dishing out 78 assists. Felipe Haase sports team-highs in three-point percentage (40.6), free throw percentage (84.5), made free throws (93), assists (91) and blocks (19). He is netting 15.2 ppg, has made 54 shots from beyond the arc and is grabbing 6.3 rpg.
Also with a double-digit scoring average is DeAndre Pickney at 13.8 ppg. The senior forward leads the squad with 7.0 rpg. Denijay Harris enters shooting a team best 56.4% from the field and is averaging 8.3 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
