SAN MARCOS, Texas – Saturday is the final road game of the regular season for the Texas State men's basketball team (12-16, 5-10 Sun Belt). It will take on Coastal Carolina (11-16, 5-10 Sun Belt) in the HTC Center with tip scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and fans can also tune into the Varsity Sports Network app to listen to Bill Culhane on the call.

Thursday saw
Mason Harrell record his second straight game with 17 points, five assists and two steals in a setback to App State. The senior guard did most of his damage in the second half when he tallied 13 points. For his career, the Midwest City, Oklahoma native is now up to 1,447 points to rank sixth in program history.
Harrell is also leading the team this season in scoring (15.9), made field goals (135), made three-pointers (36), made free throws (92), free throw percentage (85.2), steals (26) and assists (59).
Both
Nighael Ceaser and
Tyrel Morgan are putting up at least nine points a contest at 9.3 and 9.0, respectively. They are both first and second on the second in rebounding with Ceaser grabbing 6.5 rpg and Morgan right behind him at 6.4 rpg.
Nate Martin enters scoring 7.8 ppg on a team-high 50.4% shooting.

The Chanticleers defeated Georgia State 77-68 Thursday night to snap a seven-game losing streak. CCU is 8-7 at home with a 4-4 mark against Sun Belt Conference opponents.
Four players are averaging double figures led by Jomaru Brown at 13.5 ppg. Josh Uduje is close behind him at 13.1 ppg along with recording a team-high 37 steals and ranking second with 46 made three-pointers.
Nearly putting up a double-double a contest is Essam Mostafa at 12.4 ppg and 9.9 rpg. Coming in netting 11.2 ppg and dishing out 4.7 apg is Antonio Daye. A team best 47 made shots from beyond the arc at a 38.5% clip is coming from Linton Brown.
All-Time Series
Texas State has dominated the series with a 9-2 advantage and have won six in-a-row. The most recent meeting was on Feb. 5, 2022 in San Marcos. That day saw the Bobcats win 69-64 with four players finishing with at least 10 points.
Last time the programs played in Conway was over three years ago on Feb. 6, 2020. TXST led wire-to-wire in a 100-63 victory. The Bobcats have won all four games played in the HTC Center with the first three being decided by five points or less.
