SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team (5-5) looks to extend its winning streak to three games on Monday when the Bobcats host LeTourneau (6-5). Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from inside Strahan Arena.

TXST is coming off a 13-point win over former Southland Conference foe Sam Houston on Friday. The victory was the program's first over the Bearkats on the road since 2001.
Dylan Dawson led all players with a career-high 23 points behind a career best five made three-pointers. Also reaching double figures was
Jordan Mason and
Brandon Love with 18 and 10 points, respectively.
Mason paces the Bobcats offensive at 173. Points per game and has made a team-high 78.1% of his free throw attempts. Love come is netting 11.3 ppg while pacing the squad with 6.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. His 29 rejections are the second most in the Sun Belt Conference, tied for sixth in the nation and are more than or equal to 101 teams have totaled.
Both
Kaden Gumbs (10.2) and Dawson (10.4) come in with a double-digit scoring average. Gumbs leads Texas State with 4.4 assists per contest and is grabbing 5.0 rpg. Dawson enters with a team-high of 18 made treys.

The Yellowjackets are coming off a 92-86 loss to Pacific University at home on Saturday. They are 3-3 on the road this season but the record won't be affected for Monday's game as it will be counted as an exhibition for them.
In seven games, Deonte Jackson is putting up 23.9 ppg and is shooting 47.6% from the field, made 13 three-pointers and is 36-for-38 (94.7%) at the charity stripe. Jackson Mayes enters putting up 17.2 ppg in five contests. Also netting at least 10 points a contest is Christian Adams (10.1), Walker Blaine (12.3) and Caedmon Liebengood (15.5).

Monday is just the second-ever meeting between the two teams. Texas State won the only other matchup 92-47 in San Marcos on Nov. 24, 2021. Fourteen Bobcats scored a point that night led by
Nighael Ceaser, who recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench.
