SAN MARCOS, Texas – After playing the first three games on the road, the Texas State men's basketball team (1-2) opens its home slate at Strahan Arena on Friday against I-35 rival UTSA (1-2). The game is scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's contest.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Brant Freeman and Suzanne Fox on the call. Fans can also catch the action on the Varsity Sports Network with David Saltzman and Bill Culhane providing the action. Live stats will also be available.

The Bobcats are coming off a loss at Oklahoma on Tuesday.
Brandon Love set a career-high with five blocks and he is currently tied for sixth in the nation with nine rejections.
Dylan Dawson scored a team-high 13 points on the evening behind three made three-pointers. Also reaching double-figures was
Joshua O'Garro with 10 points.
Freshman
Kaden Gumbs is coming off a five-assist performance against the Sooners to increase his season total to 11. The San Marcos native is also putting up 10.0 ppg and 3.3 rpg. Contributing at least seven points a contest is
Joshua O'Garro (8.3),
Christian Turner (7.7) and Dawson.
About UTSA
Tuesday saw the Roadrunners fall 90-82 at Lamar. They also fell on the road to Minnesota (102-76) while the lone win of the season was a 78-68 overtime contest at home against Western Illinois. Friday is the third of four consecutive road games.
Andante Holiman leads UTSA with 14.7 ppg and nine made three-pointers. Also averaging double-digits scoring is PJ Carter (10.7) and Trey Edmonds (13.0). Christian Tucker comes in dishing out 6.3 assists per contest while making 82.4% of his free throw attempts.
All-Time Series
UTSA leads the all-time series 37-25 and has won four of the last five meetings. The last win for Texas State was a 6=9-68 contest on Dec. 1, 2018 in San Antonio. When hosting the Roadrunners, the Bobcats are 12-17 and last won in Strahan Arena on Dec. 2, 2015 by a score of 76-53.
