SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State football returns home to play in front of what expects to be one of the largest crowds in Bobcat Stadium history and the Bobcats are encouraging fans to black out Bobcat Stadium with the "Wack in Black" promotion on Saturday. The Bobcats will take on Sun Belt West Division opponent ULM in a 6 pm game, presented by Bud Light.
The Family Weekend game will have plenty of exciting activities for all, including:
Thunder Sticks and Rally Towel Giveaway
Gates will open at 4 pm – 30 minutes earlier than usual to limit wait times to enter the stadium – and the first few thousand fans will receive Texas State Thunder Sticks. The first 1,000 Texas State students will also receive a free black "Wack in Black" rally towel.

All Bobcat fans are asked to wear their favorite black Texas State merchandise to join the team in blacking out Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats will wear special black uniforms for the game.
Cat Walk in Tailgate Central
Fans can welcome the team to Bobcat Stadium with the Cat Walk tradition at 3:30 pm. The team will arrive in Lot 5 along Aquarena Springs Drive, and all fans are invited to cheer on the team as they enter the stadium on gameday.
Tailgate Central is Sold Out, Other Options Are Available
Tailgate Central in Lot 5 is sold out for Saturday, but fans are welcome to set up their tailgates in two areas around Bobcat Stadium which include the Aquarena Field and UEC Field. These green spaces, which are free to tailgate in, offer plenty of space for fans and their gameday experience. Vehicle parking is not permitted in the Aquarena field or UEC green space, however, and fans are able to park for free in the Meadows Center and UEC lot before setting up their tailgate.
For those that already purchased Tailgate Central spots, the lot will open at noon. All vehicles need to enter Lot 5 along Aquarena Springs Drive while any exiting vehicles will do so along Charles Austin Drive.
Family Weekend Picnic in Sewell Park
The Texas State University Family Association, as part of Family Weekend, will host the Family Weekend Picnic in Sewell Park from 3-5 pm. The family-friendly event will have activities and light snacks for all as they begin to make their way to Bobcat Stadium.
For tickets, fans can purchase prior to gameday at TXST.com/tickets or visiting the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. On gameday, fans can begin purchasing tickets from the Athletics Ticket Office near Gate 6 starting at noon.
Parking is all digital this season, and passes can also be purchased at TXST.com/tickets. Fans are encouraged to download their digital parking passes to their phones before leaving for the stadium.
