The Bobcats (27-4, 15-1 Sun Belt) enters Monday's match with a 2-1 record against the Big 12 this spring, and are coming off a 3-0 setback at Kansas. As a unit, TXST is hitting .248, while holding its opponent to a .157 hitting percentage this season. The maroon and gold average 13.9 kills, 13.0 assists 2.2 blocks and 16.5 digs per set. Janell Fitzgerald leads the Bobcats with 3.58 kills per set (.332) and has 390 total kills and 442.0 points. Fitzgerald has 85 total blocks (0.78 per set), including 19 solo blocks. Fitzgerald has 978 career kills and is 22 kills shy of becoming the 17th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills.

Senior middle blocker
Tyeranee Scott paces TXST with 96 total blocks (0.95 per set) and has 20 solo blocks on the year. Scott also leads the team with a .354 hitting percentage behind 2.63 kills per set and contributes 37 digs and two aces to her season statistics.Â

SCOUTING TEXAS
After going five-sets in both matches last fall, the Longhorns (17-0, 14-0 Big 12) defeated No. 6 Baylor 3-1 in Austin on Wednesday, March 3 as they enter Monday's match. Texas boasts a perfect 14-0 record in Big 12 play, and average 14.4 kills per set on a .330 hitting percentage. UT also hold its opponent to a .162 hitting percentage and registers 2.8 blocks per set and 13.4 digs on average.

Junior outside hitter Logan Eggleston leads the Longhorns with 4.75 kills, 29 aces (0.48/set) and averages 2.33 digs per set. Sophomore outside hitter Skylar Fields has 3.02 kills per set (.298) and has 40 blocks this season. Junior middle blocker Brionne Butler is next with 2.19 kills per set on a .415 hitting percentage, and sets the standard for the team at the net with 1.46 blocks per set. Junior setter Jhenna Gabriel averages 11.18 assists and has 17 blocks, 12 kills, and six aces.
