SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State volleyball team adds its second signee to the class of 2021 as setter Logan Leroux from Houston signed to further her volleyball career with the Bobcats on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Leroux joins defensive specialist Jacqueline Lee who signed in November 2020.
Logan Leroux – S – 6-1 – Houston, Texas (Memorial High School)
Logan Leroux is a standout player for Memorial High School who competes in Texas 17-6A. Leroux is a four-year letter that has played for Kaddie Platt and now retired Beth Gammill. Leroux has also played seven years of club volleyball in the Houston area and most recently with Asics Willowbrook VC for Gabi Carbone. Between high school and club volleyball, Leroux has a myriad of awards, including being named 2020 Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association 6A Team, 2020 Texas District 17-6A First Team, 2020 AVCA High School All-Region Team, 2019 AVCA Phenom List, 2019 Texas District 17-6A Setter of the Year and more. In her senior season, Leroux led the Mustangs to an overall 23-6 record, including a 15-0 mark in district play. Over 85 sets played, she paced the team with 6.1 assists per set and totaled 72 kills, 26 aces, 10 blocks (two solos), and 187 digs (2.2/set). In 2019 where she was tabbed Setter of the Year, Leroux averaged 8.0 assists per set to go along with 102 kills, 37 aces, 34 blocks (seven solos), and 299 digs (2.5/set).
"We are excited to add Logan to our 2021 class as she provides us more depth at the setter position and can also be a hitter as well," said head coach Sean Huiet. "I think Logan is going to be a kid that comes into her own during her college career. We love what Logan can bring to us on the court, but the one thing that I think stands out with her is her desire to be a Bobcat. She came to camp a couple of years ago and fell in love with Texas State and knew this was the place for her."
