SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball game against South Alabama scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 1 has been canceled due to COVID-19 safety protocols within the Bobcat program.
 
Per Sun Belt Conference policies, games unable to be played due to COVID-19 will be ruled a no-contest and not be rescheduled.
 
Texas State is scheduled to return to action at Georgia Southern on Thursday, Jan. 6.
 
Fans holding tickets for Saturday's game have the following options:
 
Season Ticket Holders:
All 2021-22 Texas State men's basketball season ticket holders may redeem their unused tickets from Saturday's contest for additional tickets to any remaining home game on the 2021-22 schedule. Redemption available ahead of future games by calling 512-245-2272, emailing 
gametickets@txstate.edu or redeeming at the window at Strahan Arena on the date of future game upon arrival.
 
Single/Individual Game Purchasers:
All Jan. 1 individual game purchasers will automatically receive a refund for their purchase back to their original form of payment. If the purchaser would like to forgo a refund and instead exchange unused tickets for a remaining future game on the 2021-22 men's basketball schedule, please call 512-245-2272 or email 
gametickets@txstate.edu the redemption game of your choice.
