Eight Texas State Football Players Named on PFF’s All-Sun Belt Conference Teams

SAN MARCOS, Texas. – Texas State offensive tackle Dalton Cooper, offensive guard Kyle Hergel, and kicker Seth Keller led a contingent of eight Bobcats named on the Pro Football Focus All-Sun Belt Conference teams using PFF's grades and advanced statistics.

Dalton Cooper is a First-Team All-Sun Belt offensive lineman who ranked among PFF's top 32 offensive tackles. He has 24 consecutive starts during the past two seasons. He was Texas State's top offensive lineman on running plays and helped pave the way for Texas State to rush for an average of 149 yards per game.

Kyle Hergel was ranked among the top 50 guards and was Texas State's top pass blocker among starters after surrendering just one sack on 477 passing plays. He led the Bobcat offensive linemen with 859 snaps and started 12 games at right guard in 2021. He was chosen as the right guard on PFF's Team of the Week in Weeks 11 and 12.

Seth Keller was Texas State's scoring leader with 77 points and set the school's single-season record for most field goals made in a season with 15 after connecting on 15-of-18 attempts in 2021. He also converted 32-of-32 extra-point attempts. He was named an All-Sun Belt Fourth-Team selection in 2020.

Third-Team selections were wide receiver Marcell Barbee, offensive lineman Russell Baker, and freshman kick returner Donnovan Moorer.

Barbee led the Bobcats with 40 receptions and tied for the team lead with five touchdown receptions. He ranked second on the team with 520 receiving yards and 43.3 receiving yards per game.

Moorer returned 15 kickoffs for 336 yards, led the Bobcats with 22.4 yards per kick return, and had a team-best 60-yard kickoff return at Eastern Michigan before suffering a season-ending injury.

After missing the first four games, Baker started eight games and saw action at right tackle, left guard, and center. While he was a starting center, the Bobcats had a 100-yard rusher during the final two games at Coastal Carolina and Arkansas State.

Junior wideout Trevis Graham Jr. and senior offensive lineman Liam Dobson were Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt picks.

Graham was Texas State's top-graded wide receiver by PFF after catching 20 of the 32 targeted passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. He ranked second among team leaders, with 14.5 yards per catch.

Dobson started all 12 games and was one of two Bobcats to start at three different positions on the offensive line. He started the season at right tackle but moved inside to left guard before moving back to right tackle for the final two games. Dobson was the third overall player selected in the CFL Draft last spring and was chosen by Winnipeg.
