Â
"That was not how we anticipated the day going," said head coach
Sean Huiet. "Like we said earlier, we were really excited to be in this position but we knew we had to do it with the ball, and we just did not do it today.
We told the players in the locker room 'sulk in here, cry in here, do what you want, but the minute you walk out of this locker room we are forgetting this loss. The positive with this is that did not end our season. We still have the conference tournament next week and that has been our goal all along; to go to the post-season NCAA tournament and we have to win the conference tournament. We are hoping that this is a little bit of a wakeup call and gets us going for next week."
