SAN MARCOS, Texas -  Texas State men's golf coach Shane Howell announced the signing of Kasper Nyland of Denmark for the 2020-21 season.

Nyland signed with Texas State after winning the Turkish National Amateur Open and posting four top 10 finishes. He finished in 10^th place at the 2019 Danish National Stroke Play Championship, in fourth place at the 2019 DGU Elite Tour III and won the Lalandia Junior Open.
 
Nyland is the third golfer Texas State has signed for the 2020-21 season, joining Brayden Ingebrigtsen and Payne Johnson.
 
Texas State loses four seniors off the 2019-20 squad. The Bobcats finished their fall schedule with four top 10 finishes, including a second-place showing at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate and a third-place finish at the Bentwater Intercollegiate. Texas State will return to the links on Feb. 10-11 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate.
