What they are saying about Presley Bennett

"Adding Presley to the Texas State women's basketball program is exciting on many fronts.  Like her Westlake counterparts, (Brooke Holle and Bailey Holle), she comes from an excellent high school program and she will be prepared for the rigors of being a student-athlete. Presley's basketball IQ and passion for the game is the immediate impact that our program will see at the point guard & 2-guard position."
- Coach Antoine, Texas State Head Coach

"Presley is the type of point guard every coach dreams of. Her first goal on the court is to make the team better. She has a feel for when the team needs her to score, or when someone has the hot hand and needs the ball. She is constantly building up those around her and has a feel for the game that you can not teach. She cares deeply for her team and the program and IQ makes her a coach on the floor. Off the court, Presley is a servant leader just like she is on the court. She looks for ways to help her school, younger athletes who look up to her and our Westlake community. I am thankful every day for the opportunity to coach her. Texas State is getting a winner on and off the court."
- Coach Katie Hensle, Westlake High School Head Coach

"Presley shows up to the gym, no matter what kind of day she has had ready to work and focused to get better. Presley attacks every single workout, drill, practice and game with a mindset to compete at the highest level. What makes me even more fired up about Presley than her work ethic, high IQ, leadership skills, and every other on court intangible is the type of young woman she is. Presley Bennett is an all-american young woman with a world class family. She has a selfless servant heart and loves everyone around her. Presley is the epitome of what BYC (Believe You Can) Basketball embodies. Texas State could not have gotten a better guard, basketball player, and young woman to lead this program!

- Coach Donny Ott, Cedar Park High School Head Coach

"Sometimes we can forget the joy the game of basketball can provide. Nicole is a player who lives the joy. Her positivity rubs off on teammates and coaches. Her amplified voice will help with communication on the court or cheering for teammates from the bench. A combination of desire, wanting to improve, and working her tail off led Nicole to this fabulous institution. She is a product of "trusting the process" and training consistently. Nicole will be stellar in the classroom as well. She understands that being a student first, and then an athlete, is the norm on the collegiate level. Bobcat nation, you're getting a future alumna you can be proud of!
