Women's Tennis Tunes Up For Sun Belt Championship against TCU on Tuesday

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team played TCU in a match to help the Bobcats tune up for the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.

The Bobcats fell 4-1 against the Horned Frogs with freshman Andrea Fuchs scoring Texas State's point with a victory in the No. 5 match. Fuchs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set when Meredith Roberts was forced to retire following a hamstring injury, giving Fuchs the victory.

The Bobcats also were ahead in the top-seeded doubles match as Alex Jones and Rishona Israel-Lewis were leading 4-3 when their match against Stevie Kennedy and Marie Norris was halted because the Horned Frogs had clinched the doubles point.
