MONROE, La. – Kavin Gilder-Tilbury led the Texas State men's basketball team with 14 points in the 72-59 defeat to UL Monroe Saturday afternoon in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

The Bobcats fell to 9-9 overall and 3-6 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Warhawks are now 10-11 on the season, 6-4 in conference play and remain undefeated at home.

Gilder-Tilbury made 6-of-13 shots with a three-pointer and recorded Texas State's lone steal of the game. Recording 12 points and six rebounds was
Cameron Naylor.
Emani Gant totaled 10 points, eight rebounds and a season-high six assists.

Off the bench,
Kendell Ramlal set a new career-high with seven points. He also grabbed three rebounds and blocked a shot.

For ULM, Nick Coppola scored 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting and dished out five assists. Also reaching double figures was Majok Deng and Travis Munnings with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

The Warhawks jumped out to a 16-6 lead behind seven points from Coppola. The Bobcats responded with a 12-2 run that was capped off by a three-pointer from Gilder-Tilbury to tie the score with 11:05 left in the opening period. However, Texas State was not able to take the lead but did manage to tie the score twice more.

ULM looked to be taking a six-point advantage into halftime but
Bobby Conley nailed a fall away three-pointer at the buzzer from the right corner to cut the deficit to 36-33.

Within the first two minutes of the second half, the Bobcats were able to pull to within one twice. The last time was on a layup by Naylor with 18:17 on the clock.

ULM started to pull away and eventually took a 66-54 advantage with 6:30 to go after Coppola made his third long range shot. Five straight points from Black followed to cut the Bobcats' disadvantage to seven but the Warhawks closed the game with six points.
