LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Texas State men's basketball team looks to sweep its season straight series, when it takes on UALR, Saturday at 5:05 p.m., at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, Ark. The Bobcats and the Trojans had a classic battle last month in San Marcos, with the Bobcats winning 77-74 in double overtime on Jan. 8
D.J. Brown hit the game winner against the Trojans with the game tied at 66-66. His right wing three gave Texas State its second straight double OT win at the time and it was the first time in Sun Belt Conference history a team has won back-to-back double OT games.
Scouting UALR
UALR has struggled to an 8-14 record this season including a 3-9 mark in Sun Belt play. The Trojans have been without the services of center James White who is out for the season. White had eight points and eight rebounds for the Trojans in the first meeting.
Josh Hagins is leading UALR with 12.1 points per game. He hit the game tying three to tie the game up at 74-74 with under six seconds to go in double overtime in the first meeting between the two teams before Brown had the game winner.
