Bobcats Travel to South Alabama Wednesday

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team looks to sweep its season series with South Alabama, when it travels to Mobile, Ala., to take on the Jaguars on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. The Bobcats won the first meeting between the two teams 82-71 in San Marcos, on Jan. 15.

During the first contest with South Alabama, Kavin Gilder-Tilbury scored 16 points on 7-of-11 from the field. Kavin is coming off the best game of his career, in which he scored a career-high 20 points against UL Lafayette on 3-of-7 from three-point range and 7-of-9 from the free throw line.

Scouting South Alabama

South Alabama comes into the game 5-6 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Jaguars have swept UL Lafayette, winning both meetings in the last few weeks. Ken Williams leads the team averaging 15.4 points per game. He is second in the Sun Belt Conference with 55 made three-pointers this season.

Williams is one of three players for the Jaguars averaging double figures in points. He is joined by Taishaun Johnson and Dionte Ferguson, who each average 12.9 and 11.4 points respectively. In the first meeting between the Bobcats and Jaguars, Williams had 23 points while Johnson had 19.
