Men's Basketball Begins Three-Game Homestand

SAN MARCOS, Texas. – The Texas State men's basketball team is coming off its biggest win of the season, a 77-74 double overtime win over Georgia State on Monday, breaking the Panthers 18-home game win streak, the ninth longest in the country. The Bobcats will look to build off that momentum when it begins a three-game homestand on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., against UALR.

Texas State is 8-4 overall and 2-1 on the Sun Belt season. The Bobcats are off to their best start since the 1997-98 season when the team was 9-4 to begin the year. The 2-1 start to the conference season is their best since 2009-10.

Scouting UALR

UALR comes into Thursday's contest 5-8 overall and 0-3 in Sun Belt play. The Trojans have excelled from beyond three-point range, making 25 threes to begin Sun Belt Conference play, including 12 at Georgia State, their most since the 2010-11 season.

The Trojans are the fifth highest scoring team in the Sun Belt Conference thus far, averaging 70.3 points per game. The group is led by James White and Roger Woods who are each averaging over 12.0 points per game.
