Men's Basketball Wraps Up Three-Game Homestand

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team wraps up its current three-game homestand on Thursday night, when it hosts South Alabama at 7:30 p.m. The Bobcats have split the first two home games during the stay, beating UALR in double OT before losing to ULM last Saturday.

The Bobcats were led last Saturday by Wes Davis, who moved into second all-time in school history in career steals with 164. He had seven against the Warhawks, one off the school record of eight, which Davis holds, doing so in 2012 against UT Arlington.

Scouting South Alabama

The Jaguars enter the game 4-11 overall and 2-3 in Sun Belt play. The Jaguars are coming off a narrow 81-73 loss to Georgia Southern. The team is led by sophomore guard Ken Williams who is averaging 24.5 points in his last two games, after a career-high 26 against Appalachian State.

The Jaguars have relied on the three-point shot this season, ranking second in the league in three-point field goals per game with 7.0. Williams is the top three-point shooter on the team, averaging 2.5 made threes himself.
