Men's Hoops Hosts Arkansas State Saturday

Notes

San Marcos, Texas
– The Texas State men's basketball team wraps up its four-game homestand Saturday, when it hosts Arkansas State at 4:30 p.m., in the second Sun Belt game of the season.

Thursday night, the Bobcats had their highest free throw percentage in a single game and limited UALR to the fewest made field goals by an opponent but it wasn't enough as Texas State came up just short 63-59.

Four Bobcats scored in double figures on Thursday night, as Emani Gant, Phil Hawkins and Corey Stern each scored 11 points and Joel Wright added 10 off the bench.

Saturday's meeting will be the first between Texas State and Arkansas State. The Red Wolves enter the game 8-4 and are coming off a 19-12 season in 2012-13 in which they won the Sun Belt West Division.

For fans who cannot make it out to Strahan Coliseum, the game can be heard on KTSW 89.9 FM, and www.txstatebobcats.com.
