Men's Hoops Hosts Troy Saturday on CW Austin

San Marcos, Texas –
The Texas State men's basketball team returns home for its first televised home game of the season, Saturday afternoon against Troy at 4:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the CW Austin.

In Texas State's last game against UALR on Thursday, Emani Gant led the team with 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Gant is currently second in the Sun Belt Conference with a field goal percentage of .574.

The Trojans enter the game 7-12 overall and 2-5 in the Sun Belt. Saturday's meeting will be the second all-time between Texas State and Troy. Troy won the first meeting between the schools in 1996.

Troy is led by Hunter Williams who averages 11.6 points per game. He is one of two Trojans in double figures. Williams has attempted 141 three-pointers on the season, converting on 49 of them.

Along with the game being televised, Saturday's game also features many exciting attractions for fans. The #NOLABound Tailgate is coming to town to promote the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, March 12-16 in New Orleans. The tailgate will be held from 12:00-4:00 in the grassy area outside Strahan Coliseum.
