San Marcos, Texas
Texas State men's basketball will play its final two games of the WAC regular season on the road. First stop is Logan, Utah on March 7 for an 8 p.m. CT match-up versus Utah State. Next on the Cats schedule is a game against San Jose State on March 9 at 9 p.m. CT.

Series

Utah State won the only meeting between the last two teams on December 31, 2012 - 81-57. San Jose State defeated Texas State in its only meeting between the two on December 29, 2012 - 72-55.

Scouting Texas State

Texas State enters the final weekend in seventh place in the league standings with a 4-12 conference record. The Bobcats are 4-7 on the road as they head to Utah State and San Jose State. Joel Wright ranks second in the league in scoring with 17.3 points per game. He also ranks in the top 10 in rebounds with 6.5 boards per game. Texas State is second in the league in scoring offense (74.7 ppg), and fifth in free throw percentage (68.9).

Scouting Utah State

The Aggies have dropped their last two contests. Their last win came on February 23 at home versus Illinois State in an 80-71 victory. Scouting San Jose State

The Spartans are on a 12-game losing streak. Their last win came on January 8 at home against New Orleans in a 71-64 victory. San Jose State is currently in eighth place in the WAC with a league record of 3-13 and an overall record of 9-18. The Spartans are 5-8 at home this season. San Jose State is 10th in the league in scoring (57.1 ppg), and seventh in the league in scoring defense (68.2 ppg). Chris Cunningham ranks second in the league in rebounding with 9.1 boards per game. He also ranks third in the league in free throw percentage at 81.9 percent.
