San Marcos, Texas – Continuing its tough non-conference schedule, the Texas State men's basketball team will head to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the Utah Utes, Thursday night at 8:00 p.m., central. The game can be seen on the Pac 12 Network.
The Bobcats' game against the Utes is their eighth away from Strahan Coliseum in the first 11 games of the season. Following Thursday's contest, Texas State comes home for four straight, beginning Saturday against UT Tyler.
Utah enters the game with a 9-1 record and beat the Bobcats last year in San Marcos, 86-77. In that game Joel Wright and Corey Stern each scored in double figures to lead the team.
With the game against Utah, Texas State will have faced teams with a combined record of 64-38 through its first ten Division I contests of the year. That is good for a percentage of .627, and would rank 38th in the country.
