San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team plays its first official game under new head coach Danny Kaspar, Friday night at Houston, at 8:00 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN3.

The Bobcats played in front of their home crowd Monday night, beating Sul Ross State 81-53 in an exhibition game. Kavin Gilder-Tilbury led the team in scoring with 13 points, adding four rebounds and two assists in his first game as a Bobcat. Joel Wright had the team's only double-double against the Lobos with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Two years ago, Texas State and Houston split a home-and-home series with each team defending the home court. Friday's contest will mark the first game for Coach Kaspar against the Cougars in his career.
