 Game Notes
 San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team returns home to host Louisiana Tech and UT Arlington. The Bobcats will play the Bulldogs on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. CT. Saturday's tip versus the Mavs is slated for 2 p.m. CT.
 Series
 Texas State and Louisiana Tech have played each other five times. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 4-1. Saturday's matchup will be the 56th meeting between Texas State and UT Arlington. Texas State leads the all-time series, 30-25.
 Scouting Texas State
 Texas State is in search of its first WAC win after dropping its first-four games of league play. The Bobcats are 3-5 at home so far this season as they return to Strahan Coliseum. Joel Wright ranks in the top 10 in the league in scoring with 15.4 points per game. He also ranks in the top 10 in rebounds with 6.8 boards per game. Texas State is second in the league in free throw percentage, shooting 71.7 percent from the charity stripe.
 Scouting Louisiana Tech
 Louisiana Tech is on a four-game win streak, including a 3-0 start in league play. The Bulldogs are one of two undefeated teams in WAC play - the other is Utah State. LA Tech is 4-3 on the road this season, with its last road victory coming on Jan. 5 at UT Arlington in a 55-52 win. The Bulldogs have a pair of players averaging double figures in scoring. Raheem Appleby leads the Bulldog offense with an average of 15.7ppg, in addition to 3.1 rpg. Cordarius Johnson is LA Tech's second leading scorer at 10.9 ppg. He leads the Bulldogs with 26 made three-pointers. 
 Scouting UT Arlington
 UT Arlington is on a three-game losing streak, after dropping games to Denver (L, 50-35), Boise State (L, 64-46) and Louisiana Tech (L, 55-52) on the road. The Mavs post a 4-2 road record. Their two losses were at Texas and Oklahoma State. Kevin Butler is averaging 9.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
