Notes

Versus This Weekend's Opponents

The Bobcats have previously played two of the three opponents they will face off against this weekend. Texas State defeated Lamar 3-1 in their only meeting a season ago to snap a two-match winning streak by the Lady Cardinals. However, McDonald Gymnasium has not been kind to Texas State over the years as the team has lost its last four matches there. The Bobcats will look for their first win in Beaumont since 2004 this weekend. Texas State will also play Tulane for the seventh time in the program's history and try to improve upon a 4-2 all-time record against the Green Wave. Saturday's match will be the first time since 1996 that the two teams have played. South Carolina State and Texas State will meet for the first time on Friday to begin the tournament.

Versus Southland Competition

Texas State has won 19 consecutive matches against opponents from the Southland Conference. In 2011, the Bobcats won its final 18 matches against the SLC, and the team won its match on Tuesday over Sam Houston State.

Career High

Sophomore Laura Whalen turned in the best match of her Texas State career on Tuesday as she tallied a career-high 26 digs against Sam Houston State. The libero bettered her previous career high of 22 that she accomplished twice a season ago.

20-20

Senior Caleigh McCorquodale had a 20-20 performance on Tuesday against Sam Houston State for her second double-double of the season. The setter finished the match with 20 assists and 20 digs.

New Lineups

Texas State has used four different starting lineups in the team's first four matches. Only Ashlee Hilbun and Alexandra Simms have started all four matches for the Bobcats.
