Home Openers

The Bobcats are 7-3 over their last 10 home openers at Strahan Coliseum. A season ago, Texas State lost its home opener in five sets against Houston Baptist.

Versus Sam Houston State

The Bobcats have a 52-48-1 record all-time against the Bearkats. Texas State has won the last two games over Sam Houston State and also won 12 of the last 14 matches. The team has not lost at home to Sam Houston State since October 8, 2002 when the Bearkats won a five-setter.

Versus The Southland

Tuesday's matchup with Sam Houston State will be one of two games the Bobcats will play against Southland Conference opponents. The team will also play against Lamar this weekend in a tournament hosted by the Lady Cardinals.

Texas A&M Invitational All-Tournament Team

Junior middle blocker Ashlee Hilbun was named to the Texas A&M Invitational All-Tournament team during the team's first tournament of the season. Hilbun set a career high for kills with 14 against North Dakota and finished the three games with a team-high 33 kills (3.30 kills/set), .312 hitting percentage and six blocks.

McDaniel's Big Match

Making just her second career start in her third-ever game, freshman Morgan McDaniel turned in a standout performance against No. 5 USC. The outside/right side hitter tallied a team-high 11 kills on 14 attempts for a .714 hitting percentage.
