Notes
Versus Opponents This Week
The Bobcats will look to avenge a loss against Utah State from earlier this season when the team travels to Logan on Wednesday. Utah State, who has clinched the WAC regular season title and top seed in next week's WAC Tournament, swept Texas State in San Marcos in the team's second game of the conference season. The Aggies have won three consecutive matches in the all-time series with the Bobcats last win coming in 1990.
Conference Tournament Scenarios
Texas State has already clinched its spot in the 2012 WAC Tournament, but its seed is still to be determined. The Bobcats are currently in a three-way tie for fifth place in the WAC standings along with Denver and San Jose State. Depending on the outcomes of this week's matches, the Bobcats could be seeded fifth, sixth or seventh in the tournament.
Career Assists
Senior Caleigh McCorquodale made the most of her Senior Day match last Saturday against Denver as she etched her name into the Texas State record books. McCorquodale moved into fifth place in career assists in Bobcat history after tallying a season-high 42 assists during the match. For her four-year career, McCorquodale has dished out 2,701 helpers.
Career High
Sophomore Alexandra Simms set a career high with 22 kills in the team's match last Saturday against Denver, eclipsing her previous career high of 16 that she had also set this season. Simms' 22 kills are the most for any Bobcat in a match this season.
Regular Season Finales
Texas State is 8-2 over its past 10 regular seasons finales dating back to 2002.
Qualifying For The Conference Tournament
The Bobcats have qualified for 10 consecutive conference tournaments.

Texas State suffered a pair of close defeats a week ago at Strahan Coliseum against New Mexico State and Denver. The Bobcats won the first set in both contests but dropped to 6-4 at home with the pair of losses. The team led its opponent in hitting percentage in both matches.
