San Marcos, Texas – Texas State men's hoops will continue its three-game home stand on Tuesday, Nov. 13 when it welcomes UT-Tyler to Strahan Coliseum. Tip-off versus the Patriots is slated for 7 p.m.
Series
Texas State leads the all-time series, 2-0. The two teams last played on Dec. 31, 2010, where the Bobcats came away with an 80-59 victory in San Marcos.
Scouting Texas State
Texas State had five players score in double figures versus Fordham, as the balanced attack helped lift the Bobcats to an 86-76 win over the Rams. Joel Wright led the charge with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Matt Staff had a strong performance of 17 points and nine rebounds, while Corey Stern added 16 points and nine rebounds. The Bobcats shot .714 percent from the free throw line and .422 percent from the floor.
Scouting UT-Tyler
Tuesday's game will be the first of the season for visiting UT-Tyler. The Patriots will be led by Second Team All-ASC pick Darren Houliston; their top scorer from a year ago. The senior forward averaged 12.9 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game in 2011-12. UT-Tyler finished last season with an 8-17 overall record; to finish fifth in the ASC.

December 31, 2010 - Three Bobcats scored in double figures in the contest...Cameron Johnson (18), Eddie Rios (16), and Tony Bishop (11). Texas State shot .667 percent (22-33) from the free throw line for the game. The Bobcats held the Rams to six made free throws, and forced 25 turnovers. UT-Tyler was led by Lance Murphy who had 11 points and five rebounds.
