San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State (8-9, 1-3 SLC) men's basketball team will host I-35 rival UTSA (11-7, 4-1 SLC) on Saturday. Tip-off at Strahan Coliseum is slated for 4 p.m. Fans can tailgate before the game from 12 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. in the Strahan lawn in front of Entrance 1.

Series
UTSA leads the all-time series, 30-21. The Bobcats won the last meeting, 82-80, on Feb. 26, 2011 at home. Ryan White drained a pair of free throws to help lead Texas State to the win on Senior Day.

Scouting Texas State
Texas State is coming off an 81-78 loss at Sam Houston State on Wednesday night. The Bobcats missed a last second three-point attempt to tie the game with time expiring.

Texas State leads the SLC in scoring (79.9 ppg) and is second in field goal percentage (.450), and third in three-point percentage (.364).

After four games down in SLC play, the Bobcats are in fifth place in the West Division with an 8-9 overall record and a 1-3 record in league play.

The Bobcats are led in scoring by senior Brooks Ybarra with 11.5 ppg and 3.5 rpg. Junior forward Matt Staff is second with 11.4 ppg and 7.5 rpg. Senior Eddie Rios rounds out the top three with 10.8 ppg and 2.7 apg.

Scouting UTSA
UTSA enters Saturday's contest with an 11-7 overall record and 4-1 record in conference play. The Roadrunners are 5-4 on the road so far this season. The Roadrunners have won their last two games, including an 80-62 victory over Northwestern State at home on Jan. 18.
 
The Roadrunners lead the conference in free throw percentage (.759) and three-point FG percentage (.401). Kannon Burrage is the team's leader scorer averaging 13.8 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game. Melvin Johnson III is second in scoring with 13.3 ppg, followed by Jeromie Hill with 12.1 ppg.
