Notes:
Versus This Week's Opponents
Texas State will look to bounce back from a pair of losses against Lamar in 2010 to add to the team's 38-34 lead in the all-time series against the Lady Cardinals. The team's last meeting against Lamar came in the first round of last year's Southland Conference Tournament when the Bobcats fell in five-sets. The last time that Lamar came to Texas State was during the 2009 season when the Bobcats won in five sets in Strahan Coliseum.
The Bobcats own a four-game winning streak against McNeese State with the last Cowgirls victory coming during the 2007 season. Texas State has won the past five home matching against McNeese State dating back to October 25, 2002 when the visitors defeated Texas State in three sets. In the most recent meeting, the Bobcats beat McNeese State, 3-1, on the road during the 2010 season.
National Attendance Rankings
Texas State ranks 58th in the nation out of 322 teams in attendance this season with an average of 814 fans per match at Strahan Coliseum. The Bobcats, who have the highest attendance average in the Southland Conference, had a season-high 1,277 fans at their match against UTSA (9/22).
Seven Aces
Senior Lindy DeGeare had a season-high seven aces in the team's game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9/24). The performance was the first time since 2008 that a Bobcat had seven aces in a game and was just two aces off the Texas State record of nine set in 1985 by Margaret Mitcham. DeGeare moved her aces per set average up to 0.86 for the season, the highest per-set average of any player in the country. With her performance, DeGeare has now recorded at least two aces in the team's last six matches.
Milestone Weekend
