SAN ANTONIO, Texas - UTSA (22-27, 14-13 SLC) recorded eight hits to Texas State's (22-21, 17-7 SLC) one to come away with the 7-1 victory today at Roadrunner Field. The Roadrunners held the Bobcats hitless through six innings en route to giving Texas State its first series loss this season.

Chandler Hall (15-11) picked up the loss this afternoon, allowing five runs in two innings and striking out two batters.

Emily Humpal (13-14) earned the win for UTSA pitching a one-hit complete-game this afternoon.

UTSA tallied the first run of the game after Kristin Kappler hit a shot over the third baseman's head to drive in a run. Humpal added a trio of runs to the Roadrunners total with a three-run homer over the left center wall to put UTSA up 4-0 after one inning.

The Roadrunners continued to find ways to score as they tacked on another run in the second inning to extend their lead to five, while still holding Texas State hitless.

Humpal recorded her second homer of the day in the third inning to push UTSA's run total to six after three.

McKenzie Baack ended Texas State's scoring drought by recording a run in the top of the fourth inning, after a throwing error by the UTSA catcher allowed Baack to score from third base.

UTSA kept the bats swinging into the fifth inning, as Danye Holmes recorded the Roadrunners third homerun of the game with a shot over the right field wall. Anna Hernandez ended Humpal's chances of earning a no-hitter this afternoon, when the second baseman hit a single to right center in the top of the seventh inning to break up the "no-no."
